Aussie The Builder

Bob the Builder’s robotic friends are coming to life before our eyes. ASX-listed Perth company Fastbrick Robotics (FBR) has built an Australian robot that has recently finished testing on building a three-bed, two-bath, 180-square-metre home in less than three days. The Hadrian X machine recently finished a series of tests covering compliance with several building requirements and codes. Compleating the tests, the robot got to work on building the three bedroom home.

FBR chief executive Mike Pivac stated about the build

This build is a world-first milestone. We now have the world’s only fully automated, end-to-end bricklaying solution, with a massive market waiting for it. What we have achieved here is a quantum leap for the construction industry.

This points to the massive potential for the technology and FBR’s ability to shape the way the construction industry operates in the future.
